TESTIMONIALS

“We had a great stay. The property is beautiful with extensive hiking trails for a private piece of land. The farmhouse was comfortable and equipped with everything we needed. Communication with the hosts was fast and thorough. We will be looking to stay again.”

“My family enjoyed our stay at Sky Parlor Farm immensely. Nights spent around the fire pit watching the night sky and mornings with a cup of coffee in hand wondering what wildlife would walk by...The location to town was perfect - close by but far enough away that we felt like we had the surrounding hills all to ourselves.Would stay again for sure!”

“WOW! What an absolute treat to have stayed in this beautiful, ancient home! Set privately, in a vast country acreage, this home (from the 1700's, judging by the hand-crafted iron hinges, and staircase layout) is spacious, clean and comfortable. The website link, provided by the host, is THE BEST that I have ever seen, in years of traveling, internationally, with AirBnB! Every bit of information regarding the property, and interesting, and essential facilities, such as groceries, etc., nearby was included, in an interactive and user friendly app. Don't let the home's age fool you. There is great WiFi, and satellite TV though there were so many other interesting things to do, that we never turned it on! The owner, while residing in another state, has provided local contacts, in case of any difficulties and is indeed available, himself, via phone. The house is stocked with most of the usual amentities, and there were some special things, in the refrigerator like champagne and maple syrup. We didn't partake of the champagne, having brought our own more than ample supplies, but certainly appreciated the gesture. It is a 3 story home, so keep in mind that stairs must be climbed. This extraordinary home is filled with authentic period antiques, and interesting artwork including an absolutely beautiful late 1800 's art-carved Steinway & Sons piano, in excellent shape, and nearly in tune! The kitchen had multiple sets of dishes, glasses, and flatware, as well as cooking pots, pans and utensils. One could be quite comfortable, here, for even a prolonged stay. Did I already say that the setting is breathtaking? Only a few miles from the Vermont border, this home is located, strategically, for a vist throughout New England. My recommendation : BOOK IT!”
